Tv Advert Evaluation - Ben & Jerry's

First Draft of Advert: Final Advert: The Brief:   The brief was to take and rebrand a Unilever product that we would create an advert for. I originally chose to rebrand marmite from adults to kids but ended up rebranding Ben and Jerry’s. From the current advertisement for Ben and Jerry’s it was vastly different from a lot of the other Unilever brands and with its more cartoonish and childish look it seemed simple and obvious to rebrand it from its current target audience of children and young people to older people giving it a more retro, nostalgic look and feel.     The Finished Product and Feedback:   Overall, the message of the advert was to make older people reminisce and feel nostalgic towards the product. I feel that the advert produced was very similar to what we had planned throughout our pre-production, yet the message we had the whole way through was the same we conveyed within the advert. Marmite 100th anniversary   The advert was used in 2002 to advertise Marmite, using Zippy for Marmites 100 th anniversary . A lot of the target audience would be older as the show t hat Zippy is from aired from 1972 to 1992. As well as this a younger audience could be targeted as the character is puppet from a childre n’s television show. The advert could have been shown during the day and the evening as this is when the most people could be watching tv and they want their advert to be shown as a wider audience will be able to see it . The advert was a stand-alone advert used to advertise Marmites 100 th anniversary. It had a humorous style behind it as it used a children’s puppet who cannot eat toast r ather than a person who can. Due to the reprise of Zippy , 10 years after the show last aired gives it more of a nostalgic feel, with the overt message of love and hate, showing that not everyone will love it.     The focus of the advert is to show off Marmite ...
